240: Hard To Stay Positive

Those of us who can still think for ourselves have marveled at Trump's frenetic work pace, agenda, strength, braggadocio, stamina, cabinet picks, and on and on and on.  Force of Nature is too mild a term for Trump.  And of course it is just this uncanny and surreal force that has driven the Trump deranged crowd to greater depths of derangement.  They are simply too far gone for any recovery.  I have now lost a wife, a sister, s bro-in-law, a former college roommate, and probably man others I don't even know about.  Oddly, legal clients with TDS still want my advice and representation.  Hypocrisy is a major component of TDS.

I continue to observe all media, with most simply inviting and hosting any source who is willing to trash Trump.  The tragic thing of course is the willingness to adopt character and even physical assassination as a means of assuaging the self-inflicted insanity.

Now, with the public exposure of all Trump lawfare persecution and government deception through Covid and so many other government sponsored fraud schemes, one would expect that the support for Deep State policies would begin to crack.  No such luck.

239: The Biden Hot Mess

Good riddance to Joe Biden is too polite a farewell.  This guy has sucked on the public teat for 50 years and never looked back.  He is stupid, corrupt, and greedy.  The fact that he was used as a puppet of the Deep State for four years and never knew it is a sort of poetic justice.  DJT is right - Jimmy Carter was saved by Biden for the slot as worst president EVER.

238: Democracy Is A Sham

Democracy in the USA is a broken down shambles.  We are now governed by "elected" officials and bureaucrats who live by different rules than they impose on the rest of us.  Government thinks it is entitled to an ever increasing share of our productivity and our wealth in order to support those who rule us.  Ignorant voters think that what liberty they have left comes from government.  Media guarantees the continued ignorance of the voters by feeding them a non-stop stream of propaganda, so that these ignorant votes will cede more and more of their liberty to the ruling class.  The ruling class creates nothing and produces nothing, save for the trappings of their own offices.

236: Stagflation

So now we're left holding the bag for federal government's printing and spending and giving away many trillions of dollars.  Brandon calls it "Putin's inflation, gas tax, price hike," whatever.  Starting the Ukraine/Russia war was a brilliant move by our rulers to distract from all the real problems here at home, which is the government itself.  We simply have WAY too many layers of rulers ruling us, all because we don't want any personal responsibility.

In any given group of ten people, two are probably actually intelligent.  Another two or three are marginally capable of supporting themselves, but will always take a government handout.  The remaining five or six are just plain idiots.  If you need proof, just look at the morons we select to be our rulers - Brandon, Pelosi, McConnell, Schumer - they are all lifetime, blood-sucking leeches with no discernible other than taking money out of taxpayer pockets

235: Something Has To Give

After Sleepy Joe was elected and the Dems took control of our entire government (and our lives),  our rulers in Washington, D.C. decided to enact, by government fiat, what is called "human infrasturcture (HI)".   Before our rulers decided what HI actually was, they tossed around numbers that they wanted to spend.  First is was ten trillion dollars, then six, then three and a half, now about two.  It was never zero.  It was always trillions.  And it was always completely undefined.  And now the Republicans have bought into the con.  So it's off to the races.

Then there is the https://www.federalreserve.gov.   Since the beginning of the Covid Panic, the Fed has "purchased" about six trillion dollars of assets (bonds and mortgage backed securities, I guess).  When I "purchase" something, I need either cash or a credit card, and if I use the cc, I have to pay the card at the end of the month.  Evidently, the FED creates $120 billion every month with a key stroke.  If you or I did that we would be put in jail.

Who received the benefits of the six trillion dollars our rulers created and spent?  I guess I got some - PPP money and my stock portflio has gone up 50% (of course it could also go down 50% tomorrow).  Lots of peope got paid not to work and they apparently liked it, because they are not going back to work.  Of course the really BIG money goes to...

234: Psaki Presser

Question:  What did Prez Biden have for breakfast?

Psaki:  First, let me begin by saying that I am the smartest person in the room, and as you know, we only allow the President to have pablum as it is the most age-appropriate meal for him.

Question:  Why did the Prez lie about not hearing any criticism from Euro allies about the chaos in Afghanistan?

Psaki: First, let me begin by saying that I am the smartest person in DC, and as you know, when we hear what you call "criticism" we interpret as "praise."

Question:  Why does the Prez continue to support General Milley after he ordered a drone strike that killed seven children, and demonstrated utter disdain for the chain of command?

Psaki: First, let me begin by saying that I am the smartest person in the country, and as you know, we deeply regret the unavoidable loss of these seven biological units, but heh, it's not like they were going to become diplomats or high ranking government spokespersons.

Question:  Why does the Veep only get horse shit assignments guaranteed to fail?

Psaki:  First, let me begin by saying that I am the smartest person on the planet, and as you know, we picked a half black birthing person strictly as a token.  Besides, we don't want voters to get the idea that there is a ready and energetic alternative to a geriatric and senile head of cauliflower.

Question:  Have you ever been asked a question to which you replied, "I don't know?"

Psaki: First, let me begin by saying that, as you are well aware, my smug opinion of myself would never allow any hint of anything less than total command of the facts, whether I know them or not, on any subject which could conceivably be brought to my attention by any of you lesser and ignorant rubes, who could not possibly understand my superiority.

End of presser.

233: National Tax Strike For Term Limits

I propose a taxpayer strike.  Have everyone capable of holding back tax payments do so until we have term limits on Congress.

232: Impeachment Notes

Impeachment managers Schiff, Nadler, et. al.  What a crock of shit.  And what a bunch of horrible lawyers.  They were annihilated by White House lawyers.  Blah, Blah, Blah.  This group makes the perfect case for term limits.

White House lawyers.  Polished, measured, extremely well-informed, sober, surgical.

John Roberts.  Biggest mistake George Bush made.

Media.  They all suck.

Schumer.  See "smarmy" in any dictionary.

McConnell.  I've never been a fan of his, but have to admit he has herded the cats in the Senate with amazing skill.

Trump.  I don't like him one bit.  But I positively love what he has done to the elites and blood-sucking bureaucracy in Washington.

231: Government Is A Thief

Of course a modern civilized society needs some government - to defend against foreign invaders, to pick up garbage (at least in urban areas; in rural areas we recycle everything on our own), to guarantee safety of food and drug supplies, to provide a safety net for those who are unable (not unwilling) to care for themselves.  The money necessary to pay for these essential services is a tiny fraction of the $4.5 trillion the federal government spent in fiscal year 2019.  That $4.5 trillion does not include state, county, township, and municipal spending.

The vast majority of taxation is stolen by government from its citizenry, to wit:

1.  A citizen decides to provide his labor to an employer.  The government imposes a penalty (income tax) because the citizen engages in productive behavior.
2.  A citizen decides too invest his savings in companies that provide thousands of jobs for other citizens, and pay all those citizens good wages and benefits.  In exchange for investing, the company pays the citizen a dividend, a reward for having faith in the company.  The government steals part of the dividend through a capital gains tax.
3.  A citizen decides to drive to the grocery store to buy food.  The government imposes several penalties on the citizen for this activity - gasoline tax, sales tax, myriad excise taxes on countless items.
4.  A citizen decides to build a home to raise a family.  The government steals part of the value of the citizens home every year through real estate tax.  This is especially pernicious, because the government, not the market, decides how much the citizen's property is worth, and then the government steals whatever percentage of the value of the property that it wants.

The list could go on for hundreds of examples.  The point is, government does not exist to serve its citizens, it's the other way round.  Citizens exist to pay for the constantly growing bureaucratic, parasitic organism referred to as "government."

Public servants, my ass.

230: Washington Freak Show

Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump.  Those are the presidents in my lifetime.  Here is my take:

Eisenhower - Although I was too young to form first hand impressions, I have studied Ike enough to know that he was the closest president to measure up to Washingtonian ideals than any other.

Kennedy - Mostly style; very little substance.  Assassination created the favorable JFK myth.

Johnson - Should have remained a school teacher.

Nixon - Machiavellian, dark, brilliant global thinker, tragic figure.

Ford - Good man, simple, not power hungry enough to retain power.

Carter - Too much moral superiority.

Reagan - A relief from Carter's stuffiness, and surrounded by lots of competent people.

Bush - The last statesman.  Should have been elected in 1980.

Clinton - The beginning of the end.  Billary was thoroughly corrupt in every sense, driven mad by thirst for power.

Bush II - Lot's of good qualities; got a bad rap for being dumb; got pushed around by Congress.

Obama - Without a doubt, the most unqualified person ever to be elected president.  If he was not half black, would never have been elected dog catcher.

Trump - Without first having Obama, would never have had Trump  This was a violent reaction to 8 years of feckless media attention to Obamamania.  Trump's personal style and monumental ego are disgusting, but I enjoy every second of his contempt and distain for all things Washington.

229: Contempt FOR Congress

So Nadler and his band of merry Trump-hating Democrats are spewing venom about holding Trump in contempt of Congress.  Nobody cares.  The reason is that most of America has contempt for Congress, and rightly so.  These boobs and boobbettes rob us blind to make certain they continue to hold onto their cushy positions sucking up our resources as high-class welfare recipients.

228: A Masters Disgrace

So The Masters is here.  Or should we now call it "The Tiger Woods Devotional Event."  More and more people - especially golf fans - just want to puke over the sycophantic and disgusting wall-to-wall coverage of anything and everything Woods does.  He takes a practice swing and Jim Nance swoons.

As a golfer, I never root against anyone.  But this whole spectacle is changing my mind.

227: How Does Trump Do It?

As I have repeatedly said, I am no fan of DT's bravado and outsized ego.  But I sure admire his stamina and willingness to take on the corrupt government and media establishment at very level.  Frankly, I am surprised he is still in office.  Since the election, the media's open hostility towards DT (and everyone who voted for him) has been nothing short of amazing.  Each talking head seems to try and outdo the other in denigrating the president.  No personal insult is too low.  Opinions have completely replaced facts.

I have written in this space before, that DT is not the cause of the current state of affairs in government.  He is the result of the accumulated puss that our government has become.

226: Things We Remember

One summer day when I was about five years old, I was playing with friends in Burke's front yard, our neighbors.  The Burke house was a two-story, red brick affair at the corner of Walkup and Hill Drive in Crystal Lake, two house down from us.

Whatever activity we were engaged in was interrupted when I saw a Bazooka Joe bubble gum wrapper hovering in the air.  The gum wrapper was attractive to me not only because it was apparently flying on its own, but even more so because gum was, like television, a kind of forbidden fruit for us.  I reached for it, and unfortunately the wrapper was being flown around by a large bumble bee, which promptly stung me on the inside of my left thigh.  I have never touched another piece of bubble gum.

Just about every time I see a bumble bee, I recall Bazooka Joe and the flying bubble gum wrapper.

225: I Voted For Trump (But I Didn't)

Technically, I voted for Trump.  But really, I voted AGAINST the contemptuous and sniveling governing elite and stupid media.  I always vote against all incumbents where there are no term limits.  But in voting for Trump, it really was a vote against the swamp, because there is really very little else to like about Trump except that he is a human wrecking ball.  I guess when you have a situation as bad as it is in Washington, DC, it takes a real SOB to shake things up.  And God bless him, Trump is that SOB.

224: The Drumbeat For Trump Goes On, Unabated

As I enjoy the Memorial Day holiday here in rural northern Minnesota, the only contact with the media circus comes through the internet, like a re-run of Meet The Press, on-line news programs from the Lib media, and of course articles from NYT from morons like Charles Blow.  Today, Mr. Blow called President Trump a "degenerate."  Can anyone imagine the uproar if BO had been referred to in the same terms as Trump?  People would lose their jobs.

Former officials from the BO administration fill the airwaves with dire opinions, reports, and stories from un-named, but highly placed sources.  It's no wonder that some of us, hell, lots of us, admire the new Montana representative that reacted to some twit reporter by tossing him on the ground.  I would love to see more idiotic talking heads (Chuck Todd) get slapped around.

The oh-so-lame, mainstream media has long abandoned any pretense of fairness or journalistic integrity.  It has simply declared war on Trump.  While I have repeatedly expressed my distaste for the President's personal style and proclivities, I nevertheless completely endorse his statements, actions, and policies that diminish the power of dishonest politicians and press.

223: There Are Lots Of Stupid Questions

Whoever coined the phrase, "There is no such thing as a stupid question," obviously died before the advent of so-called "TV journalism."  I would venture to say that at least 90% of the questions put forward by these entertainers are stupid, inane, self-serving, and/or repetitive.  Oftentimes, the questions are not questions at all, but rather little speeches, full of editorializing.  Even after asking the question, the entertainers usually pay no attention to the answer.

I wish a guest would be honest, and say, "That's a really stupid question that doesn't deserve to be dignified by an answer."

222: Long Knives Out To Get Trump

A couple of weeks ago I commented on Twitter (I hate anyone who uses the word "tweet" as a verb) that the long knives were out to get Trump, and will not stop until he is politically dead.  Included in the knife wielding group are:  all Democrats, the entire federal bureaucracy, 98% of the broadcast, print and internet media, and all Republicans who oppose term limits.  This is a powerful group.  This is ruling political establishment that has kept itself ensconced in power by presenting the ruse that we have a two party political system.  This of course is pure bullshit.  The ruling political establishment orchestrates a game designed to empower and enrich itself.

At some level most ordinary Americans understand that the politicians and media are screwing us.   But as long as the politicians don't take too much of our money and resources, we seem to be able to tolerate the game.  We don't like being screwed, but we put with it.  Somehow, Trump tapped in to the long simmering dislike of the media and politicians.  Somehow, he got elected president.  And now the ruling political elite is having its raison d'etre exposed.

I do not have confidence that Trump will prevail over the elite.  Health care reform, tax reform, and regulatory reform will be the casualties.

221: Thirty Days Of Trump

Ninety days after the election of DJT, and thirty days into his administration, things are pretty much as expected.  The Democrat party, which includes almost all of the national press corps and Hollywood and academia, has gone berserk.  Mainstream Republicans, like McCain and McConnell, are also trying to figure out how to hold on to their fiefdoms.

DJT has continued to pit himself against the sclerotic forces of runaway government intrusion into our lives and pocketbooks.  I do not understand his madman mentality, or his crude management style, but the fact that so many intellectual and political elites despise him just warms my heart.

220: Open Letter to Libs

To Charles Blow, David Remmick, E.J. Dionne, Eugene Robinson and the rest of the "educated" elite class of New York-Washington judgmental hacks:  Get over it.  To quote an educated man, "Elections have consequences."  You fear for your country?  So did we if the country had gone from the arrogant and inept Obama to the evil and corrupt Clinton.

Now there is a slight chance of allowing American ingenuity and business to do what it does best - innovate and create jobs to improve the standard of living for all Americans do good in the world.  We "deplorables" will ignore you intellectually dishonest partisans who think anyone who disagrees with you is ignorant and racist.  We will ignore your hate-filled invective that now fills your worthless columns.  Or better yet, I'll use them to line my cat's litter box.  That's where your words belong.
