238: Democracy Is A Sham

Democracy in the USA is a broken down shambles.  We are now governed by "elected" officials and bureaucrats who live by different rules than they impose on the rest of us.  Government thinks it is entitled to an ever increasing share of our productivity and our wealth in order to support those who rule us.  Ignorant voters think that what liberty they have left comes from government.  Media guarantees the continued ignorance of the voters by feeding them a non-stop stream of propaganda, so that these ignorant votes will cede more and more of their liberty to the ruling class.  The ruling class creates nothing and produces nothing, save for the trappings of their own offices.

236: Stagflation

So now we're left holding the bag for federal government's printing and spending and giving away many trillions of dollars.  Brandon calls it "Putin's inflation, gas tax, price hike," whatever.  Starting the Ukraine/Russia war was a brilliant move by our rulers to distract from all the real problems here at home, which is the government itself.  We simply have WAY too many layers of rulers ruling us, all because we don't want any personal responsibility.

In any given group of ten people, two are probably actually intelligent.  Another two or three are marginally capable of supporting themselves, but will always take a government handout.  The remaining five or six are just plain idiots.  If you need proof, just look at the morons we select to be our rulers - Brandon, Pelosi, McConnell, Schumer - they are all lifetime, blood-sucking leeches with no discernible other than taking money out of taxpayer pockets

235: Something Has To Give

After Sleepy Joe was elected and the Dems took control of our entire government (and our lives),  our rulers in Washington, D.C. decided to enact, by government fiat, what is called "human infrasturcture (HI)".   Before our rulers decided what HI actually was, they tossed around numbers that they wanted to spend.  First is was ten trillion dollars, then six, then three and a half, now about two.  It was never zero.  It was always trillions.  And it was always completely undefined.  And now the Republicans have bought into the con.  So it's off to the races.

Then there is the https://www.federalreserve.gov.   Since the beginning of the Covid Panic, the Fed has "purchased" about six trillion dollars of assets (bonds and mortgage backed securities, I guess).  When I "purchase" something, I need either cash or a credit card, and if I use the cc, I have to pay the card at the end of the month.  Evidently, the FED creates $120 billion every month with a key stroke.  If you or I did that we would be put in jail.

Who received the benefits of the six trillion dollars our rulers created and spent?  I guess I got some - PPP money and my stock portflio has gone up 50% (of course it could also go down 50% tomorrow).  Lots of peope got paid not to work and they apparently liked it, because they are not going back to work.  Of course the really BIG money goes to...

234: Psaki Presser

Question:  What did Prez Biden have for breakfast?

Psaki:  First, let me begin by saying that I am the smartest person in the room, and as you know, we only allow the President to have pablum as it is the most age-appropriate meal for him.

Question:  Why did the Prez lie about not hearing any criticism from Euro allies about the chaos in Afghanistan?

Psaki: First, let me begin by saying that I am the smartest person in DC, and as you know, when we hear what you call "criticism" we interpret as "praise."

Question:  Why does the Prez continue to support General Milley after he ordered a drone strike that killed seven children, and demonstrated utter disdain for the chain of command?

Psaki: First, let me begin by saying that I am the smartest person in the country, and as you know, we deeply regret the unavoidable loss of these seven biological units, but heh, it's not like they were going to become diplomats or high ranking government spokespersons.

Question:  Why does the Veep only get horse shit assignments guaranteed to fail?

Psaki:  First, let me begin by saying that I am the smartest person on the planet, and as you know, we picked a half black birthing person strictly as a token.  Besides, we don't want voters to get the idea that there is a ready and energetic alternative to a geriatric and senile head of cauliflower.

Question:  Have you ever been asked a question to which you replied, "I don't know?"

Psaki: First, let me begin by saying that, as you are well aware, my smug opinion of myself would never allow any hint of anything less than total command of the facts, whether I know them or not, on any subject which could conceivably be brought to my attention by any of you lesser and ignorant rubes, who could not possibly understand my superiority.

End of presser.

233: National Tax Strike For Term Limits

I propose a taxpayer strike.  Have everyone capable of holding back tax payments do so until we have term limits on Congress.

232: Impeachment Notes

Impeachment managers Schiff, Nadler, et. al.  What a crock of shit.  And what a bunch of horrible lawyers.  They were annihilated by White House lawyers.  Blah, Blah, Blah.  This group makes the perfect case for term limits.

White House lawyers.  Polished, measured, extremely well-informed, sober, surgical.

John Roberts.  Biggest mistake George Bush made.

Media.  They all suck.

Schumer.  See "smarmy" in any dictionary.

McConnell.  I've never been a fan of his, but have to admit he has herded the cats in the Senate with amazing skill.

Trump.  I don't like him one bit.  But I positively love what he has done to the elites and blood-sucking bureaucracy in Washington.

231: Government Is A Thief

Of course a modern civilized society needs some government - to defend against foreign invaders, to pick up garbage (at least in urban areas; in rural areas we recycle everything on our own), to guarantee safety of food and drug supplies, to provide a safety net for those who are unable (not unwilling) to care for themselves.  The money necessary to pay for these essential services is a tiny fraction of the $4.5 trillion the federal government spent in fiscal year 2019.  That $4.5 trillion does not include state, county, township, and municipal spending.

The vast majority of taxation is stolen by government from its citizenry, to wit:

1.  A citizen decides to provide his labor to an employer.  The government imposes a penalty (income tax) because the citizen engages in productive behavior.
2.  A citizen decides too invest his savings in companies that provide thousands of jobs for other citizens, and pay all those citizens good wages and benefits.  In exchange for investing, the company pays the citizen a dividend, a reward for having faith in the company.  The government steals part of the dividend through a capital gains tax.
3.  A citizen decides to drive to the grocery store to buy food.  The government imposes several penalties on the citizen for this activity - gasoline tax, sales tax, myriad excise taxes on countless items.
4.  A citizen decides to build a home to raise a family.  The government steals part of the value of the citizens home every year through real estate tax.  This is especially pernicious, because the government, not the market, decides how much the citizen's property is worth, and then the government steals whatever percentage of the value of the property that it wants.

The list could go on for hundreds of examples.  The point is, government does not exist to serve its citizens, it's the other way round.  Citizens exist to pay for the constantly growing bureaucratic, parasitic organism referred to as "government."

Public servants, my ass.
